2012 Ford Raptor Specs

Ford's biggest change of the 2012 F-150 SVT Raptor was to upgrade to a Torsen front differential. The Ford Raptor was built for off-road terrain so it only makes sense for Ford to offer more control under harsh conditions. Its true the Raptor shines in off-road performance, but the 4WD system wasn't designed to climb rocks. With a Torsen front differential the Ford Raptor is able to pull itself over hard rock obstacles by sending more torque to whichever front tire has the most traction. It takes the Ford Raptor off-road experience to a whole new level.

Other minor tweaks to the Raptor's add-on packages have been adjusted also. The Raptor Luxury Package now includes Cooled Seats in addition to the heated seats from 2011, a new Universal Garage Door Opener, and Rear View Camera and Trailer Brake Controller added to the package.

Finally, Ford has removed and added some cosmetic differences to the 2012 Ford Raptor. They removed the Molten Orange Tri Coat option and replaced it with a new Race Red. The blue, black, white, and Ingot Silver Metallic options are still available for the 2012 model. Along with the Molten Orange, the Orange Accent interior package has also been removed and replace with a new Blue Accent interior package. The hood graphics and bedside graphics still remain but they have been updated for the 2012 Raptor. And lastly Ford rounded out the 2012 model with new Euroflange wheels.
