Ford Media published a press release this last week that the 2022 Ford Bronco will be available in 3 new colors. These new tones are Eruption Green, Hot Pepper Red Metallic, and Cyber Orange. However, Ford only released images of Eruption Green, so we'll have to wait to see what the other will look like. We've been waiting for word on these new colors ever since Ford said new options were coming for 2022.
The production start time for these new colors comes in December of this year. Starting in January of 2022, Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat will no longer be available. So if you'd like your Bronco in any of these three soon-to-be-gone colors, place your order before the year is up.
Ford debuted a 2022 Bronco featuring an Eruption Green paint job last weeked at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit in the "Bronco Corral." They stated that they released this green tone, at the behest of "Automotive Enthusiasts," as the modern version of Mallard Green. This was a popular color available on Gen-2 Broncos in the early- to mid-70s. We expect to see 2022 Eruption Green Broncos with white hard tops rolling the streets next year, paying further homage to the Gen-2 Broncos of the same color scheme.
Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red Metallic will be available on all trim levels of the 2022 Bronco. Cyber Orange will only be available on the Base and Big Bend trim levels. We're still partial to the Cactus Gray, and Rapid Red Broncos sitting in our garage. But we are curious about what that Hot Pepper Red tone will look like.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for Ford to release images of Hot Pepper Red Metallic and Cyber Orange, and we'll share the images once they come. In the meantime check out our Bronco Page for more info and articles about the 6th-Gen Bronco!
