More photos were recently leaked of the 2022 Toyota Tundra. This time, it's a non-TRD version. Toyota has slowly been trickling out zoomed-in images, focusing only on small areas of the truck. Our only hope for any full views of the truck is through grainy, "leaked" photos.
The front end looks much the same as the officially released image of the new Tundra by Toyota in June. However, there a few cosmetic differences from the earlier TRD version images. The trim around the grille is a sort of silver color, whereas the TRD images showed the same trim color matched to the body - which in our opinion looks much better. This non-TRD Tundra also has a different pattern across the grille; horizontal lines as opposed to the honeycomb pattern previously seen.
Here we get a better look at the rear-end of the full-size pickup, which reveals some interesting revisions to it's predecessor. The taillights feature angled points running down the side of the truck for several inches at the top and bottom. The tailgate has slightly more angled contours then previous models as well.
Another grainy image shows us more of the interior, particularly the middle of the dash and center column. We get another look at the rather large touchscreen, as well as what appears to be climate control buttons. The bad photo quality makes it look quite dreary, but perhaps when we see clear images it will look much better.
Could the 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD be a new rival for the 2021 Ford Raptor, or will it line-up more like a competitor for the F-150 Tremor? Only time will tell, and Toyota seems to be in no hurry to reveal details.
